El Tango en Broadway with Carlos Gardel
Embassy of Argentina - 1600 New Hampshire Ave., NW
This was the second film that Gardel filmed for the Paramount movie company and Gardel himself described the movie as "a very light-hearted comedy, full of comical twists and turns". The plot is rather simple: the comfortable life of an Argentine playboy living in New York is being threatened by the arrival, from Argentina of a strict uncle who soon falls prey to the charms of New York's night life.
